BrewDog Launches Equity for Pups

The Scottish Craft Brewing company, BrewDog has expanded their unique crowdfunding opportunity. The company offer a chance to own a part of BrewDog with their Equity for Punks crowdfunding. The company have recently announced that they will be starting a new campaign called Equity for Pups, which would offer four legged friends of the company to become ‘shareholders’ This initiative has been created as an innovative extension of the company’s latest crowdfunding programme.

The fundraising channel has so far helped the company to raise more than £5 million since it was first launched in October. New and existing shareholders will be able to gift ‘shares’ in the company through this crowdfunding programme to their canine companions. Everyone who decided to make this gift of shares will be able to download a gift certificate that can be presented on Christmas Day and confirm them as an Equity Pup.

The Equity for Punks crowdfunding is on its fifth round of fundraising, with BrewDog looking to raise £10 million. The Scottish craft brewing company also has a stretched long-term goal of eventually raising £50 million in order to help the company achieve a stronger level of global expansion.

Dogs have always been an essential part of BrewDog’s story, with co-founders James Watt and Martin Dickie, inspired by James’ chocolate Labrador, Bracken, the original BrewDog. The company remains Canine central and allows staff to bring their dogs to work. On top of this, all of the BrewDog bars found in the UK are dog-friendly.

The gift of shares in the craft brewery can also be made to people, through the regular Equity for Punks scheme. The money raised by the company will be put into the opening of a new sour beer facility, The Overworks, which is expected to be launched at the start of 2018.

Festive Flavoured Burgers Available Now

Many restaurants are releasing their winter menus, filled with festive flavours and Christmas focused creativity. Among the festive signatures this year is the Christmas Burger. There are a range of creative twists available to try this year, including cranberry ketchup, and hazelnut flavoured mayo.

D&D’s Chop House chain of restaurants located in Paternoster, South Place, Butlers Wharf, are one of the restaurants who have managed to create a burger with all the trimmings. The Saucy Santa Burger hits every item on your Christmas food wish list, with a minced turkey patty, pickled red cabbage slaw, pigs in blankets and a cranberry ketchup. The Burger is £15 and is available at all three branches of D&D Chop House.

Dirty Bones the Restaurant that offer perfect NYC-inspired comfort food and cocktails has also released their Christmas creation. The aptly American named The Holiday Burger includes venison & pork minced patty that is served in a seeded brioche, drizzled in hazelnut-brown butter mayo, and topped with smoked bacon, caramelised shallots and red cabbage marmalade. This winter treat is available at all of the Dirty Bones sites: Carnaby, Soho, Shoreditch and Kensington. The Holiday Burger will also be available from Dirty Bones Oxford when the site opens on the 7th December.

Imperial Durbar Ginfusion Class Tickets Available

In January 2018, there will be a range of exclusive spirit classes being hosted by the team at the number one Indian inspired cocktail bar in South London. The Imperial Durbar Ginfusion classes will be held on the 16th, 23rd, and 30th January and it has been said that they are the perfect Christmas present for anyone who is an aspiring spirits expert.

The Bar has announced that they have released the first batch of tickets for these exclusive classes, perfect for anyone who considers themselves a home distiller or Gin connoisseur. The Imperial Durbar has recently undergone a refurbishment and as part of the new look, the bar houses bell jars, kilners and pestle and mortars which are used by the Durbar’s infusion gurus. These gurus use spices and herbs in order to create their own gins and as part of the classes that will be taking place in January, are offering their customers an opportunity to become a guru too.

The Imperial Durbar is the first joint project started by the brother duo Nicholas and Alastair Heathcote, who have made the most of their marketing and hospitality management experience and skills in order to design this iconic bar. The pair first started working together in 2013 and have been heavily inspired by their Childhood spent in Asia. The iconic bar is located in the centre of Tooting and since the refurbishment, the Imperial Durbar is now even more authentic than before. The bar features an all-weather garden space that has been created at the back of the site and includes ornate flowers as well as bespoke and handmade Indian furniture and a retractable roof.

The tickets for the Ginfusion classes cost £20 per head, which includes an hour long infusion session and the class itself as well as a cocktail to keep you going as you learn. Those who take part in the classes will also receive 2 bottles of their own homemade infusions that have been created in class, the perfect handmade gift or treat to yourself.
