    • Premium frozen dumpling brand, Madame Sum, has launched in the UK, delivering dumplings straight to doorsteps
    • Offering an array of unusual flavours – from Lasagna to Nutella – with a restaurant-quality touch, the brand is set to excite even the most adventurous taste buds

    On a mission to elevate home dining, dumpling atelier, Madame Sum, has brought its innovative range of sweet and savoury Asian fusion flavours to British foodies for the first time.

    Alongside Brits’ continued appetite for international cuisines, research has seen a growing desire for Asian influences in recent years1. Perfectly placed to serve Brits’ love for global flavours in one bite, Madame Sum proves that good things do come in small packages.

    Inspired by Chinese tradition and craftmanship, Madame Sum couples Asian culinary technique with European flair to create a breadth of interesting, global flavours – all encapsulated inside a deliciously decadent dumpling.

    Delivering premium frozen dumplings to doorsteps, Madame Sum can be cheffed up in less than 10 minutes. From those less confident in their culinary skills but craving bold flavours, to diners seeking a luxury meal in the comfort of their home, Madame Sum provides a convenient yet elevated offering to please an array of tastebuds.

    Helping Brits get steamy for their special night in, there are around 15 sumptuous flavours to choose from at any time. Including vegetarian and vegan options, all dumplings are filled with the highest quality ingredients – getting dumped has never tasted so good!

    • Flavours include (but aren’t limited to):
    • Wagyu Beef: Melt-in-your-mouth beef infused with red wine jus
    • Thai Green Curry: All the explosive flavours of a traditional green curry in one bite
    • Lasagna: A nod to Italy filled with indulgent ragu and creamy béchamel sauce. Buon apetito!
    • Xiao Long Bao: A traditional flavouring and continued social media sensation, this soup dumpling oozes with slow-cooked pork broth
    • Apple Crumble: An elevated take on the nostalgic British dessert with notes of cinnamon

    In addition to the core range, Madame Sum gives the humble dumpling a ‘haute couture’ makeover by teaming up with chefs from Michelin-star restaurants for limited-edition flavours. Working with Switzerland’s Nenad Mlinarevic to France’s Benoit Carcenat, previous exclusive flavours range from Alpine Pork to Veal Osso Buco. When it comes to flavours, the best is yet to come for the UK market as the brand explores partnerships with a vast array of talented chefs to put a British spin on culinary classics.

    Madame Sum was founded by gutsy foodies and friends Yves Jäger, Arnaud Verschueren and Toby Tagliacozzo. After discovering that a restaurant in the idyllic Swiss countryside was looking for an exciting new concept, the trio wanted to make some noise. Taking a leap of faith, the founders put on their first Asian-inspired pop-up. This bold mindset and entrepreneurial attitude continues to form the heart of Madame Sum to this day.

    Following a dumpling crash course from two Tibetan monks, Jäger, Verschueren and Tagliacozzo hosted a hugely successful pop up and eventually took their ventures nationwide, providing ready-to-steam frozen dumplings across the country.

    Arnaud Verschueren, Madame Sum co-founder, said: “At Madame Sum, we live to experiment. We’re determined to create an unmissable experience that can evoke emotions and fuel curiosity around food. With daring fusions at the core, there are no boundaries.

    We see the world as one XXXL kitchen, so the premise of our dumplings is simple – they are inspired by our surroundings and recipes we truly love, with no dumpling flavour ever too bold. We know Brits have the appetite for playful ingredients, so we’re excited to introduce our dumplings to flavour-seeking foodies.”

    Matching the dumplings for ultimate taste, Madame Sum’s portfolio also features two delicious gyozas. Good to gyoza in no more than seven minutes, flavours currently include pork and vegetarian, with further unexpected gyoza flavours, icy mochis and homemade sauces in the innovation pipeline.
