Elton John leads the list of the most sought after celebrity sunglasses with 18,950 searches and 250,000 pairs of sunglasses.

Research by experts at Overnight Glasses identified the most sought after celebrity sunglasses. To determine the top 10 celebrities searched for their sunglasses, the number of searches was calculated for the previous year up to September 2023. Google Trends was also used to identify the core events contributing to the rise of interest for each celebrity.

Elton John leads the list of the most sought after celebrity sunglasses with 18,950 searches. This dominating search results were impacted by his LA concert outfit, wearing round-shaped white sunglasses from his massive 250,000 pair collection.

Tom Cruise takes the 2nd spot on the list of most sought after celebrity sunglasses with 13,690 searches. This 2nd highest search number in the ranking was largely influenced by his latest movie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning with his signature aviator sunglasses designed by Cartier.

Kim Kardashian claims the 3rd spot on the list of most searched celebrity sunglasses with 12,410 searches. The eyewear searches rose after her pre-winter look with white oversized Balenciaga sunglasses. Her New York all-Chanel outfit with black shield sunglasses before the Met Gala also kept her in the spotlight.

Steve McQueen takes the 4th spot with 11,010 searches for his sunglasses. This search count was strongly affected by a recent NFT release that renewed interest in the old-school sunglasses he was known for.

Taylor Swift takes the 5th spot on the list with 10,280 searches for her sunglasses. The search data rose based on the glasses popularity for her recent “The Eras Tour: 2023”. The multicolor sunglasses, having no specific brand name, made her sunglasses a hot topic among fans and not only.

Johnny Depp takes the 8th spot with 7,790 sunglasses searches. The searches peaked after his “post-divorce drama” comeback in the Cannes Festival for the premier of his new movie wearing Dior tuxedo sunglasses.

Audrey Hepburn ranks 9th on the list of most sought after celebrity sunglasses with 6,490 searches. The search count went up after the launch of new “Holly” style sunglasses, named after her character in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. “Emily in Paris” star Lily Collins’ new “Audrey Hepburn Era” also affected the searches.

David Beckham rounds out the top ten as the most searched celebrity for his sunglasses, gathering 4,420 searches. The search count was boosted after his Wimbledon outfit with double bridge pilot style sunglasses from his own brand, which sparked interest among fans.
