It’s been a long wait, but the Addams family’s sharpest daughter is back — and she’s not alone. With 15 new additions to the Netflix catalogue this week, including dramas, documentaries and classic comedies, your watchlist is about to get a serious upgrade.
The must-watch event of the week
Wednesday returns on 6 August — yes, finally. Three years after its wildly successful debut, season 2 promises more gothic chaos, sharpened sarcasm and supernatural mysteries. Jenna Ortega is back as the brilliantly deadpan Wednesday Addams, who’s navigating a new term at Nevermore Academy alongside friends, foes and a few family twists.
This time around, things get darker and twistier. With cryptic threats and chilling secrets lurking behind every corridor, Wednesday has to balance her tangled personal life with another eerie investigation. Netflix is rolling the series out in two parts: four episodes on 6 August, followed by the final four on 3 September. A clever way to stretch the suspense.
To get in the mood, Netflix has also added The Addams Family and Addams Family Values — perfect for a nostalgic warm-up before the main event.
