While Hynes White has denied the accusations, describing them as a “campaign of disinformation,” he confirmed in May 2024 that he would not be returning to the series.
Jenna Ortega has since commented on the change, noting that with so many new characters joining the ensemble, his absence “sort of gets lost”—a diplomatic nod to the series’ evolving landscape.
