London tech firm Yumpingo is to roll out its guest experience management solution across all Nando’s restaurants in the UK, Australia and New Zealand after agreeing a strategic partnership with the global chain of peri-peri chicken restaurants.
Nando’s restaurants in the territories will now be able to leverage Yumpingo’s proprietary one-minute review to capture in-the-moment guest sentiment using integrations with online ordering and payment partners.
An initial pilot with Nando’s UK in July 2020 saw Yumpingo integrated with Vita Mojo, its order and pay provider, before a roll-out to all 450 UK locations.
The pilot resulted in 350,000 guest reviews in just three months, leading to significant improvements in food and service with particular impact on off-premise dining, resulting in a 15-point increase in the chain’s Net Promoter Score (NPS).
That success has led to a further roll-out to all 193 locations across Australia and New Zealand. There are a total of 1,200 Nando’s restaurants in 22 countries worldwide.

Yumpingo’s omnichannel method of capturing customer satisfaction at every stage of the customer journey has enabled the brand to track NPS at brand, region, location, dish and shift level.
That has led to time and consistency improvements across all operations, including customer greetings, order accuracy and on- or off-premise operations.
