    However, as Shopify hosts over 5 million businesses, it can be hard to ensure that your company gets the attention it deserves. With that in mind, here are some simple ways to get people to pay attention to your Shopify Business. 

    Refine your target audience. When first starting out, many business owners attempt to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, believing that this will be the easiest way to drive conversions and sales. However, the truth is the more specific or refined your target audience is, the better. This means that you can tailor your products/services to their specific needs and requirements, ensuring that there is a clear gap in the market for your business. 

    Refining your target audience can also help you to develop an effective marketing plan, especially when using PPC or target advertisements, as you can ensure they are targeted directly toward your audience/key demographic. 

    Start posting on YouTube. Curating content across a wide variety of platforms is one of the easiest ways to increase your company’s visibility, especially if you also use them as a way to direct traffic back toward your website.

    As such, you may find that your engagement and sales increase quite considerably by beginning to post on YouTube. Whether you’re filming day-in-the-life style videos or showcasing your latest products and services, these videos provide you with new opportunities to engage your audience. 

    However, you should be sure to create compelling titles for your videos to capture the attention of your audience. Otherwise, you’ll struggle to get an excellent ROI on your video content, no matter how compelling it may be. 

    Partner with an influencer. Influencer marketing can prove instrumental when it comes to growing your Shopify business, especially if you share the same target demographic. After all, this means that the influencers are promoting your products and services among those who are most likely to be interested in what you have to offer. In addition to this, “69% of consumers trust influencers’ recommendations,” while only “36% of consumers trust ads.”  

    Use social media to your advantage. You can also help to ensure that your business receives as much traction as possible by curating a strong social media presence. After all, this will expose your brand to a wider audience while also making your company appear much more credible and trustworthy.

    Furthermore, there are many different ways in which you can ensure that your social media profiles are sending as much traffic as possible to your Shopify site, such as by: 

    • Running social media ads
    • Optimizing your social media profiles
    • Sharing excerpts of blog posts on social media
    • Hosting contests and giveaways
    • Adding links to social media content

    Start running a blog. Adding a blog to your Shopify site (and updating it regularly) is a great way in which you can increase web traffic. There are many potential reasons for this. For example, it is far easier to include both short and longtail keywords in blog content than product descriptions, which means that you can use your blog posts as a way to help your website climb to the top of a search engine’s results page.

    Not only that but running a blog allows you to share your expertise and insight with your audience, which will increase their trust in your brand and your services. As such, you should make sure you update your blog fairly frequently, ideally once a week. However, do not upload a blog post for the sake of it, ensuring that you have something of value to say to your audience. Otherwise, your content will lack authenticity, and it will not feel all that engaging. If blogging is something that you struggle with, consider hiring a copywriter who can take on this task on your behalf. 

    Ensure your website is SEO-optimized. One of the major benefits of hosting your business on a platform such as Shopify is that you do not have to go through the challenges of building a website independently. This ensures that your sales platforms run as smoothly as possible, especially from an accessibility standpoint. As a result of this, you’ll likely find that your business has a relatively good position in search engine rankings, though there are certain steps that you can take to ensure it climbs higher than ever before. One way to achieve this goal is by ensuring that your content is SEO optimized.

    You can ensure that your content is SEO optimized by: 

    • Carrying out extensive keyword research so that you can ensure you’re using the right words or phrases in your content
    • Seamlessly incorporating keywords and keyword phrases into your content without ‘stuffing’ them in.
    • Making your text as accessible as possible.
    • Using headings, subheadings, bullet points, and lists to break down larger blocks of text
    • Ensuring that your site can be accessed from a variety of devices.
    • Adding META descriptions to images and captions to videos 

    Prioritze your customers. Putting your customers first means that you’ll receive a higher volume of referrals and positive reviews, which, in turn, can help you to keep your business afloat. This is because new customers are far more likely to trust businesses that have been vetted with reviews, as they seem much more credible and trustworthy. Without reviews, you’ll struggle to drive sales. 

    As such, you should add a separate page for reviews and testimonials to your website.

    Final thoughts. In short, there are many steps that you can take to ensure that people start to pay attention to your Shopify business. This, in turn, will allow you to improve your bottom line and raise brand awareness so that you can start taking your brand to new heights!
