- Hybrid event running from 15 to 17 October 2024
Organisers of the industry leading not-for-profit Social Value Conference have released further details of the seventh annual event, including names of the thought leaders and changemakers scheduled to speak.
Presented by Social Value Portal in collaboration with the National Social Value Taskforce, this year’s hybrid event will take place across three days from 15, 16 & 17 October 2024.
With the first two days hosted online, the in-person, day-long event on 17 October will be held at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham, UK, with the Social Value Awards ceremony held at the same location afterwards.
The Rt HonJustine Greening, former Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities will be delivering the keynote address on social mobility at the in-person session on day three.
This year’s theme: Social Value in Action
Delegates from the public, private and third sectors will gather to share ideas, real examples of Social Value in action and thoughts on further opportunities and the future direction of Social Value.

Day One, Tuesday 15 October will cover introductions to Social Value, embedding Social Value into planning, building a career in Social Value, delivering the outcomes that matter, measurement and unlocking the power of sustainable public procurement.
Day Two, Wednesday 16 October will focus on what Social Value success looks like, ensuring the VCSE community is included, delivering Social Value through the healthcare sector and how buyers can deliver on Net Zero Scope 3 emissions reductions.
Day Three, Thursday 17 October in person at Birmingham’s Eastside Rooms will kick off with The Rt Hon Justine Greening delivering her keynote address, ‘Is a lack of social mobility holding this country back?’ followed by a panel discussion of CEO’s on what radical collaboration is needed to deliver the Social Value economy.
The final day will also explore topics and themes including; the Social Value Model, place-based Social Value, the new Procurement Act, avoiding social washing, making Social Value core to business success and engaging supply chains to deliver better Social Value.
