Bluewater, the global trailblazer in water purification and beverage systems, is set to introduce its award-winning Café Station to the UK market at the London Coffee Festival.
Partnering with HTG, its official UK distributor, Bluewater will showcase its latest innovation at Booth HP30 during the four-day event held at the Truman Brewery from 15th to 18th May.
Having already made a splash in Dubai and Houston, the Café Station has been lauded for changing the landscape of specialty coffee brewing. It’s received industry praise, including a ‘Best New Product’ win at Dubai’s World of Coffee Expo and a ‘Best Buy’ recognition from The Caterer Magazine for 2024.
Created with specialty coffee professionals in mind, the Café Station allows baristas to adjust mineral levels in their water with precision, ensuring the ideal conditions for extracting flavour from various coffee beans.
“The market response has been phenomenal,” said Dave Noble, Bluewater spokesperson. “We’re thrilled to introduce this innovation to the UK’s rapidly expanding specialty coffee scene.”
Festival visitors will see the system in action through brewing demos from top baristas such as Douglas Conde, Day Trip, Tom Sixsmith, Batch Baby, and Mathew Harvey-Ingram. Each will work with Bluewater’s purified water, enhanced with LiquidRock® – a patented Swedish mineral blend.
LiquidRock® provides a scientifically optimised calcium-to-magnesium ratio to support both flavour and health. The formula also helps prevent scale buildup, protecting equipment longevity. With light, medium, and bold mineral settings available, the Café Station offers unmatched customisation.
The London Coffee Festival is a cornerstone of the UK’s coffee calendar, drawing more than 22,000 visitors and featuring over 260 artisan brands. From hands-on workshops to tastings and talks, it offers something for industry experts and everyday enthusiasts alike.
The UK coffee market is booming, valued at around £15 billion and home to over 8,000 branded cafés. Although the UK doesn’t top global consumption charts, Brits now consume roughly 98 million cups of coffee a day – showing an appetite for high-end coffee experiences.
“Water makes up more than 98% of a cup of coffee, yet it’s often ignored as a key ingredient,” added Noble. “The Café Station gives baristas complete control to brew with the purest, best-balanced water possible.”
