“Chocolate variety selection tubs such as Celebrations, Quality Street, and Heroes tend to be very popular during the festive season when family and guests are expected. Everyone has their favourites and since some chocolates are more abundant than others, it can result in slim pickings if you’re the last to choose.

“This study offers some insight into the average number of chocolates in each tub and the likelihood of finding each one. There are some clear variations in the frequency of chocolates across all three brands, so knowing the starting distribution will offer an advantage for finding your favourites.”
