Farne Islands

If that was not enough, there is Lindisfarne, or the Holy Island, as it is sometimes referred to with its rugged beauty and interesting historical ruins.

The Peak District
The Peak District is a stunning part of the UK for travellers, stretching, as it does, across the Pennines and home to some of the most wonderful landscapes in the whole of England.
This National Park is home to some of the prettiest villages with tons of history, some of the most walkable hills and dales and no small number of fantastic stately homes where you can stay in the lap of luxury.

The Lake District
The Lake District in Cumbria is home to some of the UK’s tallest mountains, and as the name suggests, it has more bodies of water than almost anywhere else in the country too.
When you are not admiring the splendour of nature in all of its extremes, you can try ziplining through the forest at great height, sampling the local delicacy that is Cumberland sausage, and checking out one of the many great museums including the famous Keswick Pencil Museum, which is a lot more interesting than you might imagine.
The Isle of Sky
There are a lot of wonderful Scottish islands that would definitely be worth your time, but the Isle of Sky is undoubtedly one of the most enchanting. York

Of course, York is also one of the UK’s oldest cities, which means there is plenty of culture to soak up too. The Yorvik Centre is particularly interesting due to its focus on the Vikings, but there is so much more to the city than that!
Bath
If it’s luxury you are looking for, Bath with its many soothing spas and quaint shops and cafes is hard to beat. Spend some time delving into the Roman architecture and leafy green spaces and the world will just melt away.
