MERCHANT GOURMET LAUNCHES LIMITED EDITION SPICED GRAINS & CHESTNUTS POUCH IN TIME FOR WINTER
The UK’s number one pulses and grains brand, Merchant Gourmet, has added a new limited edition pouch to its plant-based portfolio: Spiced Grains & Chestnuts with Wild Rice & Cranberries (RRP £2.00 / 250g ).
The new variant is the latest in a swathe of innovation this year, as the brand looks to capitalise on the unwavering trend of plant-based eating and continued growth in Whole Chestnuts of 21% year on year. Rolling out in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Morrison’s and Ocado this October, the pouch aims to further strengthen Merchant Gourmet’s core grains and chestnut portfolio.
With 20% of Brits looking to serve an entirely plant-based Christmas dinner, the latest addition is the perfect alternative for those looking to recreate family favourites such as stuffing balls, winter wellingtons and warming stews. The limited-edition pouch combines a unique blend of pearl barley and wild rice with chestnuts and cranberries for a hearty texture and comforting seasonal twist. A warming blend of festive herbs and spices, including nutmeg, cinnamon, rosemary, and thyme, give the grains a perfect blend of sweet and savoury.
