Newly awarded micro-brewery Tūn Brewing Co., is kicking off September by launching two new beers.
Complementing the brewery’s already successful core range, Tūn Brewing Co. is releasing an Irish Stout and a New Zealand Session Pale Ale, which will undoubtedly be highly popular with their growing fan base.
Two new beers inspired by joy and mindful connections
Little Monster from the Id – New Zealand Session Pale Ale – 4% ABV:
The name draws inspiration from New Zealand’s indie rock legends The Chills. This session pale ale hits all the right notes. Ripe stone fruit, tropical hop notes, and a touch of citrus dance over a soft malt body, taming the Id’s wild side.
Fermented with Verdant yeast, it finishes dry, fruity, and is perfect to be enjoyed with friends or paired with food.
It’s the Little Monster you’ll be happy to unleash.
Daradach – Irish Stout – 4.5% ABV:
Inspired by the legendary King Conchobar Mac Nessa from Irish mythology’s Ulster Cycle, the stout pays homage to his epic quest for the Daradach—a massive oak and bronze boiler built to brew ale.
The beer is a rich and smooth Irish stout with layers of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and subtle toasted grain. Where balanced bitterness from East Kent Goldings meets a gentle, creamy mouthfeel.
About these new beers, Richard Alston, founder of Tūn Brewing Co., said: “At Tūn Brewing we believe beer is more than just a drink — it’s about connection. Whether it’s sharing stories, listening to music, or simply enjoying time with friends, beer has always been part of those moments in British culture. With Little Monster from the Id and Daradach, we wanted to brew beers that carry that spirit. Little Monster plays with the idea of the Id — the untamed, instinctive part of ourselves — but expressed in a light, easygoing way that invites joy and conversation. Daradach, inspired by Irish legend, reminds us of the timeless tradition of gathering over a pint to share stories. For us, these beers are about fostering a healthier, more mindful relationship with alcohol, and celebrating what really matters: people coming together.”
A chance to meet the founder
Little Monster from the Id and Daradach will be launched during an exclusive “Meet the Founder” event on Saturday the 13th of September at Strange Brew Bar in Chorlton (370 Barlow Moor, Chorlton, M21 8AZ).
Founder Richard will be present from 4pm to 7pm to talk about the beers, the inspiration behind them, Tūn Brewing Co.’s philosophy, and of course his journey from psychiatry to brewing beer!
